  • Ballistic Testing

RBR Ballistic Helmets are tested at H.P. White Laboratory at Level IIIA. Helmets are tested verses penetration and back face deformation of Level IIIA 9mm and .44 Magnum ammunition, to the HP White Helmet Test Procedure (HPW-TP-0401.01B) Additionally, This test requires that one of each of the above rounds must impact directly on a suspension system fastener resulting in zero penetration. RBR Test Results are available upon request.

RBR MILITARY MACH II ADVANCED COMBAT HELMET

The RBR MACH II Helmet is a versatile combination of the Mach I and Mach III. It provides the optimal lightweight construction of the Mach III to the maximum coverage found in the Mach I. Tested and approved by the US Army Airborne Test Center.

The MACH II was designed for Military and Police special tactical units where compatibility with all NV and communication systems is of critical importance along with wearer comfort.  Helmets provide un-matched Level IIIA protection and include the RBR 4 point suspension system secured with only four bolts to ensure maximum ballistic integrity, comfort and stability.

The RBR Mach II Helmet is fitted with a fully adjustable padded head harness, attached via four (4) fastener screws.  The head harness includes leather covered front padding, nylon covered rear padding, and a net mesh and leather comfort crown pad.  RBR Helmets are fully adjustable in the circumference as well as the wearing height, therefore, two sizes can be adjusted to fit all heads.

    Testing is Critical to Performance
Commonly found misconceptions include NIJ Certified IIIA helmets. The NIJ Certification for helmets only provides for testing up to level II, and does not measure back face deformation. Likewise, Level IIIA Testing to NIJ Standard 0108.01 for Ballistic Material is for testing flat armor panels only, and "specifically excludes" helmets from being tested to this standard. RBR is confident that the HP White Helmet Test Procedure is the most comprehensive helmet test standard currently available. Helmets that cannot meet the requirements of this Level IIIA test should be considered substandard.
